About the Role

At PB, we have big, joyful plans for our wonderful brand in 2026. We are looking for someone with an exceptional creative eye for jewellery, storytelling, and brand-building to help us create compelling content and join us as part of our growing Creative Team.

This is a dream role for someone who adores craftsmanship and thinking creatively. You will be responsible for creating mesmerising photo and video content that captures the heart of our studio. You must have your "finger on the pulse" when it comes to social media trends and be able to independently execute strategies quickly from concept to completion.

Our Studio HQ is semi-rural, based in South-West Lancashire, with close-proximity to the M58 and M6 Motorways, making us commutable from Liverpool and Manchester, Preston and Cheshire. There is no public transport to our head office, you must have your own car.

What You’ll be Responsible For:

  • Creating Mesmerising Content: Producing high-value, aesthetic photo and video content daily that reflects our brand's joyful identity.
  • Independent Ideation: Sparking fresh ideas independently and collaborating within our wider marketing team to keep our content innovative.
  • Idea and Trend Execution: Rapidly identifying and executing social media trends to ensure PB remains a leader on TikTok and Instagram.
  • Brand Storytelling: Using your creative eye to tell the story of our handmade glass jewellery, from the torch to the final gift box.
  • Strategic Growth: Moving from concept to completion on social strategies that drive engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Content Calendar: You will be responsible for managing our Content Calendar, ensuring we show up every day, consistently, for our wonderful community and customers.
  • Analyse Metrics and Data: You will keep track of how our content is performing across platforms and report and feedback this data to the team to support future content strategies.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Creator: Essential experience in Social Media Management, Content Creation, ideation, and execution with demonstrable results.
  • A Natural Documentarian: Finding the beauty in the everyday occurrences in our studio, creatively capturing and documenting the small special moments of our day-to-day.
  • Comfortable on Camera: You will create forward-facing content in line with our brand values and vision for distribution across our social channels, feeling as comfortable in front of the camera as you do behind it.
  • Small Brand Savvy: Prior experience in a small, founder-led brand is preferred; you understand the agility and passion required in this environment and the potential to facilitate brand growth through this role.
  • Exceptional Eye for Visual Detail: you understand how important the details are, especially when capturing jewellery, you understand lighting, composition, angles, and can adapt to challenging environments.
  • A Creative Visionary: You don’t just follow a brief; you bring a unique exceptional eye for jewellery, fashion and cozy aesthetics and have the confidence to execute your vision quickly.
  • Agile & Quick: You can pivot based on new trends and execute high-quality work at pace.
  • Tech Savvy: You will have a hands-on understanding of producing iPhone content, DSLR and tech savvy, proficient in apps such as VSCO, InShot or CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, Lightroom, Photoshop.
  • Exceptional Level of Written & Verbal Communication: You have high standards of written, verbal, and emotional communication skills and are highly literate. You are able to communicate clearly in our brand voice both on camera and across written content, including email, captions, scripts, and all brand assets.

Who this role will suit

  • This role sits at the heart of the Picnic Blanket brand, so you will need to have a keen eye for jewellery, styling, fashion and craftsmanship and a good understanding of the current jewellery space and understand adjacent brands.
  • There's a lot to juggle within this role, so you must have fabulous organisational skills as well as exceptional attention to detail, in addition to impeccable time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Most importantly, you'll need to be creative, enthusiastic, self driven, and highly-motivated to bring ideas to life and ensure our brand is successful online.

  • You'll need to understand the social media landscape and stay on top of trends, research and channel-specific behaviours, and tailor our strategies accordingly. If you have some really good examples of your own social media presence, we'd love to see those as well!
  • As a small team, we often help each other across departments. We're looking for someone with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude who can get stuck in no matter what the challenge might be.
